The weather this week just kept getting better and better. Thursday was warm, Friday was beautiful, and Saturday was downright hot!

In typical Nova Scotian fashion, the weather wasn’t totally on our side.

We sat down to dinner around 8:00pm. The sun was starting to set, and gorgeous strokes of gold were starting to fall over the distant tree line. The whole room was glowing, and it made the food taste 10 times better.

So far, our honeymoon has been a gentle collection of dinners here, lunches there, and a lot of relaxing around the house. This particular dinner is at Longfellow at The Evangeline in Grand Pré, Nova Scotia.

This sign on the side of the road really made us laugh.

If there’s one thing our two Goldens Mersey and Ivan have in common with Michael, it’s that they love playing in the mud.

We came away with a jar of dill pickles, and they are absolutely wonderful. A little sweeter than the Anne’s Preserves dills that we always get at the Falmouth Farm Market.
